Woo hoo! I just got a new cart in the mail... well, it's an older cart, but new to me! Which one did I get? The 50 States cart! When I heard it was being retired, I just had to have it. As a history lover, I just needed this cart in my collection and can't wait to make some educational things with it when my daughter gets older!
Anyone have any good ideas on how I can use this cart?
One of my ideas was making bingo cards, with the states in the various squares. That way when we take roadtrip vacations in the car it will give my daughter something look for to help pass the time away.

It's a Boy!
My sister-in-law Heidi came over last night, once all our babies were sound asleep, and we got to play around with my Cricut for awhile. Since a friend recently had a baby boy, we decided to make a card. We used 2 cartridges for this card (Wild Card and New Arrival). The navy blue squiggly rectangle box, scalloped circle frame, and regular circle frame were all cut using the Wild Card cart, while the baby, buttons, and congratulations sentiment were from New Arrival. To add more dimension and interest to the card we pop-dotted the "Cute as a Button" sentiment, embossed the baby blanket, and stickled the buttons.
While we did have a little incident where one of the buttons somehow jumped onto Heidi's arm, we quickly fixed the situation and restored the little guy to his beautifully sparkly self!
Hope you enjoyed viewing this card.
